The Zipp 202 Firecrest Carbon wheelset leverages high technology. The Zipp 202 has an internal width of 21 mm and is aerodynamically optimized for use with 28 mm wide tires. The new designs improve Firecrest's ability to produce low aerodynamic drag and high crosswind stability, a combination we call AeroBalance. Tubeless compatible, the wheels feature a rim made with internal ridges to lock the tire bead in place, ensuring secure performance even when riding at lower tire pressures. Zipp's reduced rolling resistance and the high grip Tangente RT28 pair perfectly with this wheel. The Tubeless Road RT25 tire is another excellent option. A new carbon fiber layup for the rims made in Indianapolis keeps weight low while maintaining Firecrest Carbon's proven durability. The robust 77D / 177D hubset, paired with 24 Sapim CX-Sprint front and rear spokes, keeps the wheels stiff and responsive. To ensure compatibility with any bike, our versatile 77D / 177D hubs come with interchangeable end caps.
